Tjitjiku Tjukurpa Project

In mid 2019 I was asked by Think Films to be the stills photographer on the crew documenting the Tjitjiku Tjukurpa – Children’s Dreaming Project, an initiative of Carclew in partnership with Lee-Ann Buckskin & Associates. The crew followed the journey of children from three remote schools across the APY Lands as they followed the stories of the Seven Sisters Dreaming from Port August up to Cave Hill near Amata in the APY Lands. My brief was to not only document the children and elders taking part in the project but to also document the crew at work and some of the behind the scenes.

The project will culminate in a multimedia tool that will help to preserve language, stories and culture across the APY Lands, and is funded by the Commonwealth of Australia through the Indigenous Languages and Arts program.
